I have a video of one of my paintings in progress on You Tube. This is my first video. I used a red painted canvas to support the background of the painting. I started using this technique for some of my paintings after taking a workshop with artist, Stephen Filarsky. I love the way that the red color is left throughout parts of the painting. These paintings are part of a series of small paintings that I am doing. They are 5″x7″ inches in size and are painted on canvas panels. I used my favorite medium, acrylics. They are of Vincent Van Gogh’s Sunflowers, his self-portrait, and my love birds.

I have loved to draw and paint for as long as I can remember. As a child I would draw family members and make sketches of my dream house. I also took art classes in school which furthered my interest. In 1999 I decided to enter my first art show and to my surprise I sold my first painting to the president of a local bank. Since then I have continued to sell my art . I am happy that my work is collected throughout the United States. My quest is for continuous improvement in my art and for my art to reflect the beauty I see in life.
