Night Lights

Cape Hatteras Light

This is a brick  painting that I did of  Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. This is how it looked before it was moved 2,900 feet to safer ground. Painted in black-and white spiral bands, the Cape Hatteras Light is one of the most recognized lighthouses on the East Coast.  ” We may not need them now the way we used to, but we still need what they stand for- a reference point between our world and the other world that lies beyond the breakers”( quote by Eddie Nickens, Our State magazine.
